The Saint Véran wine sometimes reminds of exotic as well as citrus
fruits (with aroma of orange peel). On the palate, a dry, well-rounded
and often mineral (with the minerals present in the soil such as flint)
wine which is rather intense from the start. By becoming even greater
both the wine acidity and its smoothness are then combined. This gives
the wine its harmonious, sweet ans full-bodied structure.
Thanks to its strong and full-bodied texture and thanks to its aromas of citrus fruits, this wine can successfully be associated with dishes which will make it a little smoother. It will go especially well with poached or grilled fish. With a subtle bouquet of flowers and the minerals present in the soil, it will successfully be associated with the fish iodine and delicate texture.
Thanks to its sharp and slightly lemony aroma, it will go well with the mellowness of such dishes as seafood or mushroom risottos.
The Saint Véran wine goes well with cheese such as goat cheese, Bresse blue cheese, “Comté” or “Gruyère”.
