Mâcon-Fuissé

The elegant Mâcon wine

The cuvée

At the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé plots, the vines for Mâcon-Fuissé wine make the most of their terroir and clay-limestone soils. This is an ideal soil composition which allows these 25-year-old Chardonnay vines to produce a unique, elegant and distinctively Mâconnais wine.

True to form, this Mâcon-Fuissé is characterised by freshness, finesse and precision.

To preserve this typicity, the wine is vinified using traditional methods for only 6 months, on its fine lies and in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.

Tasting

The 2023 vintage of Mâcon-Fuissé is recognizable by its bright yellow gold color, nuanced with green reflections. Its nose, of great intensity, is open, with floral and fruity notes, fresh and fine.

The attack on the palate is greedy and crisp, marked by notes of ripe fruit. The finish is precise and slightly structuring, allowing to preserve a beautiful balance.

Sommelier’s
recommendation

This Mâcon-Fuissé should be served at between 10-12°C and will keep for 2 to 5 years. It makes a perfect aperitif wine, but also pairs nicely with shellfish, antipasti, cold meats, fish and goat’s cheeses.
