Pouilly-Fuissé
« Les Perrières » 2015

The newest of the Pouilly-Fuissé cuvées

The cuvée

Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Les Perrières’ is made from individually selected vineyard plots. In 2013, Denis and Maxime Dutron decided to honour one of the best climats in Fuissé – Les Perrières – by creating a cuvée in its name, full of opulence and fruit.

Fermentation is left to occur naturally, on the fine lees and exclusively in oak barrels for 18 months in order to do justice to this prestigious terroir.

Tasting

This 2015 Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Les Perrières’ is easily identified by its crystal clear, yellow-gold hue with silver highlights. On the nose it is elegant and delicate, releasing aromas of fresh almond, buttery brioche and white flowers. The clay-limestone soils also bring a lovely minerality to the wine.

The attack is supple and buttery. The mid-palate is both mineral and toasty and packed with hazelnut and grilled almond flavours. The overall impression is one of refinement with good tension. This 2015 vintage Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Les Perrières’ is fat, opulent, fruity, and well-balanced, with a lovely touch of oak adding structure.

Sommelier’s
recommendation

This wine is best served at 10-12°C. It is particularly good with fine shellfish and white meats in a creamy sauce.
