The Château’s Wines

The expression of an exceptional terroir

All of Château Vitallis’ 17 hectares of Chardonnay vines possess rich and diverse soils. Denis and Maxime Dutron create their wines with patience and skill to preserve and enhance the typicity of the terroir of each vineyard plot. The result is wines of character, elegance and distinction: Mâcon-Vinzelles, Mâcon-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé.

Pouilly-Fuissé
1er Cru
« Les Perrières » 2020

The newest of the Vitallis wines is the fruit of a selection of prestigious plots.

To bring out the essence of one of the finest “climats” in Fuissé, vinification is carried out exclusively in barrels for 11 months, and 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Pouilly-Fuissé
1er Cru
« Pouilly » 2020

This Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru comes from a prestigious “Climat” in the village of Solutré.

To bring out the essence of this exceptional terroir, vinification is carried out exclusively in barrels for 11 months, and 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Pouilly-Fuissé
« Vieilles Vignes » 2021

Made from the Domaine’s oldest vines, some of which are 85 years old, Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is patiently matured in barrel for 11 to 12 months to bring out the essence of the terroir.

Pouilly-Fuissé
« Les Vignes du Château » 2021

Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Les Vignes du Château’ is a blend of grapes from Château Vitallis’ historic 13th-century plots.

Vinified for 11 to 12 months in barrel and in vat, this wine displays exceptional aromatic complexity.

Saint-Véran
« A la Côte » 2021

Planted at up to 500 metres altitude, the vines for this Saint-Véran ‘A la Côte’ wine make the most of their sunny exposure.

Winemaking skilfully combines the use of barrels and vats to create a terroir wine that is succulent and complex.

Mâcon-Fuissé 2021

With an average age of 25 years and growing in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé area, the vines for this wine make the most of their exceptional soils.

The Mâcon-Fuissé is aged in vat for only 6 months, thereby preserving its unique character, typical of the wines from the Mâconnais region.

Mâcon-Vinzelles
« En Paradis » 2021

Mâcon-Vinzelles ‘En Paradis’ is made from a single and unique plot of Chardonnay.

To preserve its characteristic freshness, the wine is vinified for only 6 months in vat.
